PABO Ready Reckoner
Using the Protected Action Ballot Orders (PABO) Ready Reckoner, the reckoner allows you to do two things:
- Determine the date by which a protected action ballot must be lodged if the union wants to take action BEFORE a particular date. For instance, if an Open Day is under threat, the protected action ballot would need to be lodged at least *26 days before that date in order for the action to be available as protected industrial action by that time.
- Determine the date by which industrial action MUST be taken in order to preserve its viability under s.459(1)(d)(i)) of the Fair Work Act 2009.
