Fair Work Launches legal action over underpaid staff

AHEIA Executive Director, Craig Laughton appeared on ABC radio discussing university underpayments.

‘The Fair Work Ombudsman has launched legal action against The University of Melbourne over allegations it underpaid 14 academics and created “false” and “misleading” records. It comes just a few months after the University was forced to pay $22 million in back pay to 15,000 casual workers.
The Ombudsman says she is investigating a number of other universities in what she describes as a serious and systemic problem.’
